What to Expect on PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT is a standardized test that offers first hand practice for the SAT. The PSAT allows test-takers to prepare for the SAT and become familiar with the types of questions and directions that will be seen on the SAT. NMSQT is the same test as the regular PSAT, only the qualifications are different.

ACT Info (2024)
The ACT test consists of four multiple-choice sections— English, mathematics, reading, and science—with an optional writing section. Some colleges and universities require or accept ACT writing scores, so you may consider taking the writing section.
The essay is optional depending if a specific university requires it or not. Most do not. Check to see if the colleges you are applying to have it as a requirement.
How Colleges Consider SAT+ACT
